Breastfeeding re-visited and a peek at the homebirth debate
Fit Pregnancy &bull Aug 13, 2010
Whew, I really ticked off a few people with my blog last week about breastfeeding modestly. Most readers appreciated the concept of "middle ground," neither hiding under a tent nor full-on exposure, there were a few readers who found my attitude shameful. It seems pulling the boys' perspective into this was a bad plan. What can I say? Now that I have a lot of teenage boys in my life (all of them… Full Story »

Women's Right to Choose
Fit Pregnancy: Blogs &bull Jul 30, 2010
Kudos to the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) for taking a step in the right direction. Last week, they announced less restrictive guidelines for VBACs, twin births and other candidates for vaginal delivery. They were so restrictive they'd radically increased the c-section rate, somewhat increased the maternal mortality rate and alienated an entire generation of mothers. It's about freaking time ACOG dialed their control issues. Many of my very favorite people and good… Full Story »
